2009 Haverhill "Shoe-La-Bration" 14 statues of giant shoes created by local artists captured the attention of residents, promoted tourism and celebrated the city's history and thriving arts community during the summer of 2009. When they were auctioned off in October, they brought in a total of $48,050 for local nonprofit organizations. Each shoe was sponsored by a local business, created by a local artist and associated with a local non-profit. Salon Savoir Faire was the winning bidder on "If the Shoe Fits..." which resulted in a $2,300 donation to the Haverhill Foundation for Excellence in Education (HFFEE). The 6-foot-tall shoe sculpture is proudly displayed in front of the Salon on Forest Street.

Help Brighten a Child's Christmas !
Here at Salon Savoir Faire, the stylists have donated their time one Sunday a year for the past 18 years to give haircuts for a donated fee of $10 to help 'Brighten a Child's Christmas'. In conjunction with our 'Toys for Tots' cut-a-thon we also hold a Charity Raffle with great prizes that are drawn the third week of December. In 2009, we raised $1176 and raffled off 30 prizes.
This year's Cut-a-Thon will be held mid-November, date TBD. Click here for more information. You too can help 'Brighten a Child's Christmas'!
